OPTIWISE Final Event at BlueWeek 2025

We’re excited to share that the Final Event of the OPTIWISE Project took place during BlueWeek 2025 – a dedicated week focused on advancing a sustainable future for Oceans, Energy, and Shipping.

At our dynamic session titled “EU OPTIWISE Highlights: WASP Study Results on Bulk Carrier, Oil Tanker & Cruise Vessel,” our project partners presented the key findings and impactful results of the OPTIWISE initiative.

Our speakers — Tom van Terwisga, Rogier Eggers, Alessio Tei, Maxime Garenaux, Titouan Flajollet, Sofia Werner, and Niklas van Duinen — shared key insights and outcomes from their involvement in the OPTIWISE project, showcasing the collaborative achievements and technological advancements made throughout the initiative.

Our participation proved to be a valuable opportunity to engage in high-level discussions around practical solutions for the decarbonisation of the shipping sector, while gaining deeper insight into the progress driven by key industry stakeholders.

The event was held on April 10th at MARIN in Wageningen, The Netherlands.
